This tool allows a user to upload a shapefile or geodatabase with a feature class. The input is likely a set or parcels or area of interest. The tool wiill then provide a readout of all the Natural Resource Consideration Areas (NRCA) that interact with that subject site with a percent cover. The output will be both a geodatabase with the layers that interact with the subject site and a text readout with those layers and their percent cover.
The NRCA policy also requires that an analysis of the interactions
of a given subject site with these data layers be calculated in a GIS and included with TMRPA’s initial review memo for any conformance review, project of regional significance, or regional plan amendment. Including these data will help guarantee that any interactions are appropriately considered during the local government and regional development review processes.
